The description of the schools is as follows:
In regard to general accommodation, if this site is decided upon, the walls and offices are intended to be built in the first instance as single tile walls @ $14 per thousand, with school masters' apartments to each. The main flooring will be constructed such that the walls are sufficiently strong to bear another story of circumstances should demand it, with 2 sets of staircases.
Each school room will be 30 x 20 feet with a tower for a staircase, 106 feet of 18-inch drain, and a connection to the play ground. A porch and verandah will be provided. A sufficient area is provided for a play ground, with the requisite urinals and privies arranged at either end. A supply of water will be introduced, with the master's kitchen and water tank.

The Syinspoon school will have two rooms for each master, common to both, with a porch. The site for Syinspoon school is at a point where the water works do not extend, and will require a separate water supply.
